Horizon 2020 - €5.4 billion for Energy R&D

The seventh Framework Programme (FP7) has now been succedded by Horizon 2020. This new programme has a budget of €71 billion over seven years and it's focus is in three main areas - Excellent Science, Industrial Leadership, and Societal Challenges. The challenge of Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy is a major theme, with a budget of €5.4 billion over seven years.
