I am a Homeowner
The Irish Government, through SEAI, are mandated to develop and maintain a 'Renewable Installers Register' in line with certain requirements of the EU Directive 2009/28/EC on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources.
The 'Renewable Installers Register' provides homeowners with a list of suitably qualified Installers of the following technologies: Small-scale biomass boilers and stoves, Solar photovoltaic (Solar PV), Solar thermal systems (Solar Water Heating), Shallow geothermal systems and Heat Pumps. This list contains the names of installers who have provided SEAI with proof that they hold qualifications relating to the above renewable technologies. The Installers have accepted SEAI defined Terms and Conditions in order to be placed on the register.
Inclusion on the Renewable Installers Register does not imply any recommendation or endorsement by SEAI. SEAI does not currently inspect the works related to Installers on the Renewable Installers Register.
Inclusion on the Renewable Installers Register does not confer eligibility for undertaking works on grant schemes. The Better Energy Homes scheme operates a separate registered contractor list with separate Terms and Conditions for registration.
