Ecodesign and Labelling
The EU Ecodesign, Energy Labelling and Tyre Labelling Regulations have been put in place to provide consumers with information regarding the energy efficiency and environmental performance of certain products and to encourage the manufacture of more energy efficient products.
Responsibility for market surveillance of these Regulations currently rests with the Department for Communications, Climate Action and Environment (DCCAE). However, this function is in the process of being transferred to SEAI.
