General Rules for Applicants 

Competition rules for all categories

  1. Completed online entry forms must be submitted no later than 5pm Friday 9th June 2017.
  2. ONLY online (electronic) entry forms will be accepted.
  3. Entries will be accepted from any energy user / supplier including individuals, community groups, large business, small business, and researchers, and innovators in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland.
  4. Multiple entries across several categories are accepted.
  5. Once you submit your entry, you will be issued with a unique entry identification number and live link to your entry platform. Please use this unique identification number in any further correspondence with the SEAI Sustainable Energy Awards team.
  6. Approval for publicity is implied by taking part in the SEAI Sustainable Energy Awards. This includes descriptions of projects provided in the application form with the exception of sensitive commercial or energy use / savings data. SEAI may also contact shortlisted entrants ahead of the Gala event to participate in media interviews or photography opportunities.
  7. Specific energy use data will not be published without prior consent, but will be used for internal statistical analysis. Aggregated data, outcomes and impacts, collated from applications may be publicised.
  8. The judging panel's decision will be final in all matters relating to this competition. Feedback will not be given until after the judging process has been completed.
  9. The organisers reserve the right to not confer an award in a particular category should there be an insufficient number or low quality of entries in that category.
  10. The organisers reserve the right to withhold the research bursary prize should the proposed expenditure identified for the prize not be in keeping with the research undertaken or the spirit of the Awards.
