Building Management System (BMS) Optimisation Grant
Existing Building Management Systems (BMS) hold massive potential for energy savings. Uncover and redeem these easy wins with an optimisation grant from SEAI.
About the grant
This grant is for organisations with an existing Building Management System (BMS). It enables businesses to source a BMS specialist who can audit their existing system. The specialist will identify potential savings, existing faults and potential future upgrades.
Communication between your facilities manager (or equivalent) and the BMS specialist is crucial to realising the benefits. This facilities manager should know the building's use patterns (occupancy etc). They should also have permission to make changes to the BMS settings. That way, the BMS specialist can apply their recommended adjustments on the day of the audit. As a result, your business will start saving before they even leave site.
Grant value
SEAI provides a €2,000 grant towards this audit and optimisation exercise. The grant should typically covers all or the majority of the associated costs.
