• This tool is to be used for estimation purposes only and assumes the use of standard driving cycles. Actual energy and CO₂ savings will vary depending on a number of factors. These include daily driving cycles, driver behaviour, weather conditions, and vehicle condition.
• Charging is assumed to be 100% private charging on a night rate. M1 is domestic rate of electricity and N1 is the commercial rate of electricity. Charging on the public network will increase the costs.
• The petrol, diesel and electricity prices are updated on a monthly basis to reflect current prices.
• The SEAI accepts no responsibility for any loss incurred by use of this calculator.
• Only electric vehicles purchased in Ireland from an approved dealer are eligible for a grant from SEAI.
