The new series of SEAI's 180 Degrees podcast explores the challenges we collectively face in delivering meaningful climate action and what the future might hold.

Each episode features a different Irish climate visionary to inspire listeners to look at their everyday decisions and the impact these will have on our climate and wellbeing of future generations. Within the series, each episode explores some of the tools and solutions we need to tackle climate change together.

Season four of 180 Degrees launched today with a special episode recorded in front of a live audience in the Iveagh Garden Hotel, Dublin. Jim Scheer, Head of Data and Insights at SEAI and host of the series spoke to Sharon Finnegan, Director of the EPA with responsibility for the Office of Environmental Sustainability about climate resilience and the importance of an environmentally engaged society. Throughout the series, a range of leading climate experts tell their stories and lived experience of how they became involved in the climate, environment and sustainable energy space as well as their hopes for the future.

We are delighted to use this season's series of our 180 Degrees podcast to hear from visionaries on the climate action knowledge frontier. Every day at SEAI, we work with citizens, communities, businesses, and public bodies, helping them to reduce their fossil fuel use and move to more climate-conscious ways of living and working. This podcast helps further that goal by exploring the rich perspectives of some of Ireland's leading voices on the climate action movement. I hope listeners will be inspired to make changes in their own lives and join the climate action movement.

Storytelling is everything if we're going to solve our environmental crises. We're disconnected and the first thing is that we need to reconnect to nature and to each other, and to share our stories. We're social species, we're social creatures, it's what we're all about.
Liz Bonnin, Science, Wildlife and Natural History Broadcaster

The six-part series covers a range of topics including climate anxiety, policy decisions, climate science, the importance of climate leadership, climate justice and ultimately, what we can do as individuals and communities to ensure a cleaner and more secure energy future.
