Dr. Lorna Gold, Environmental Activist and Author talks to host Jim Scheer about mobilising faith communities and how we can build a worldwide movement to scale up our climate action.
Lorna Gold is well known for her passion for climate justice and sustainable development. Originally from Scotland, she moved to Ireland in 2002 and took up a role with Trocaire. During her time in Trócaire, she worked primarily in areas of applied research interests, including international cooperation; sustainable development goals; climate justice and just transition. She is currently vice chair of the board of the Global Catholic Climate Movement, the movement set up to implement Pope Francis teachings on the environment globally. Lorna is also author of 'Climate Generation - Awakening to our Children's Future' which describes her own personal story of waking up to the ecological emergency as a mother, academic and activist.
