Project Description
Solving the residential retrofit financial puzzle is key to unlocking home retrofit activity in Ireland, which in turn is central to meeting national climate targets. The aim of this research projects was to explore the challenge of financing the deep energy efficiency retrofit of Ireland’s homes. Intending to arm Irish finance providers with core facts, analysis and insights.
Project Outcomes
The research resulted in a comprehensive report - Financing Energy Efficiency in Ireland: A Handbook on the Residential Sector, available to download below. This Handbook aims to give finance providers the information they need to be able to quickly develop and scale effective new products and solutions. The Handbook summarises and condenses relevant research on financial barriers and solutions, nationally and internationally, and provides insights on how the Irish residential retrofit marketplace functions in practice.
