Step 6: Mentoring

Following your registration as a BER Assessor, you will be allocated a Mentoring Audit with one of SEAI's registered BER Auditors, as outlined in Section 2.3 of the BER QADP. This will be randomly selected from one of your published BER assessments.

During a mentoring audit, you will be accompanied by one of SEAI's registered BER Auditors during an on-site re-assessment of one of your published BER assessments. Mentoring audits are one of the learning resources provided by SEAI, within which you will be given the opportunity to ask questions and discuss various aspects of the BER's data inputs with your assigned auditor. Learning outcomes and feedback, along with any details of non-compliances or further action required by you with regards to the BER publication will be provided to you following your mentoring audit. Learnings can then be carried on by you, when completing any subsequent BER assessments.

One of SEAI's registered BER Auditor's will be in contact with you directly to organise your mentoring audit.
