Overall Import Dependency
The data view below shows Ireland’s overall annual import dependency defined as: Net imports / Gross available energy. This value is represented as a percentage and all energy products are included in this calculation as well as non-energy sub-products.
Natural Gas Import Dependency
The data view below shows Ireland’s annual natural gas import dependency defined as: Net imports / Gross available energy. This value is represented as a percentage.
Renewables Import Dependency
The data view below shows Ireland’s annual renewables import dependency defined as: Net imports / Gross available energy. This value is represented as a percentage and all renewables sub-products are included in this calculation.
Using the Annual Data Views
The data views can be customised and navigated by:
- Selecting the units from the dropdown menu - kilotonnes of oil equivalent (ktoe) (default), terajoules (TJ), or terawatt hours (TWh).
- Hovering over an element of a view to display a tooltip providing numerical values.
The data in the views can be downloaded by clicking on the 'download icon' and selecting:
- Image to download the view as a PNG file.
