Apply for a Better Energy Homes grant through a participating One Stop Shop or Energy Partner.

Simplify your upgrade

The below participating partners will make an application on your behalf, and appoint a contractor and BER assessor to complete works. They will deduct the grant amount off the cost of works so that you don't have to pay the full amount up front.

Participating Energy Partners

Financing options: They can also help you apply for low-cost government loans for your home energy upgrades via the Home Energy Upgrade Loan Scheme.

  • Flexible repayment terms range from 1 to 10 years, allowing applicants to borrow between €5,000 and €75,000 per property, with a maximum of 3 properties.
  • At least 75% of the loan must be spent on energy efficiency and renewable energy works, with up to 25% allowed for non-grant aided works.
  • No security or personal guarantee is required, and interest rates are lower than typical market rates.
  • Applicants must show a 20% improvement in energy performance, and the property must be in the Republic of Ireland.
