Wexford dealership announced overall national winner of the 2025 ZEVI Electric Vehicle Dealership of the Year Awards
The announcement was made at the SEAI Energy Show at the RDS in Dublin.
Zero Emissions Vehicles Ireland (ZEVI), and SEAI has today announced the national winner of the 2025 ZEVI EV Dealership of the Year Award. Doyles Garage Courtown has won the annual award which recognises outstanding efforts in encouraging electric vehicle (EV) uptake in Ireland. The Doyles Garage team was recognised at an awards presentation this afternoon at the SEAI Energy Show, taking place at the RDS in Dublin.
Out of the 24 dealerships selected as county winners, four regional winners were announced at the Society of the Irish Motor Industry Awards (SIMI) in February. These four dealerships were selected as regional winners as they demonstrated a high-level of commitment to EV sales and delivered a best-in-class customer experience. Doyles Garage Courtown was then selected as the National Winner of the ZEVI EV Dealership of the Year Award by a panel of experts who assessed each of the four regional winner’s performance across a range of criteria, including showroom visibility of EVs, salesperson knowledge of EVs, sales approach, EV training, sales trends, and website presentation.
Minister for Transport, Darragh O’Brien TD said:
“As Ireland continues its journey towards a more sustainable future, electric vehicles are playing a critical role in decarbonising the transportation sector. These awards acknowledge and celebrate car dealerships’ role in supporting the change and their commitment to excellence in customer service and advice. By supporting the shift away from fossil fuels, dealerships are helping to lower emissions, improve air quality and create safer, more sustainable communities and I would like to extend my congratulations to this year’s winner and all the nominees.
With nearly 160,000k EVs on Irish roads and ongoing advancements in technology alongside an increasing range of brands and models, we expect more drivers to continue the movement towards EVs. As the industry continues to expand its offerings to meet a broader range of needs, we are confident that we will continue to see the shift from early adopters to early majority as we look to achieve our target of 195,000 EVs on the road by the end of the year.”
“January and February 2025 have seen the strongest monthly sales of EVs on record in Ireland, a trend which looks to continue. Together with EV Dealerships, we are building momentum towards 30% of all vehicles on Irish roads being electric by 2030 under the Climate Action Plan 2023 targets. When combined with an uptake in public transport, cycling, and walking, this will significantly reduce Ireland’s transport sector emissions. Dealerships are supporting this transition, helping drivers make the switch to electric. These awards recognise and celebrate dealerships who are exemplary in their approach to the decarbonisation of the transport sector.”
